Host or join
One phone taps HOST. Everyone on the same Wi-Fi (or that phone's hotspot) taps JOIN and picks the game.
Everyone gets the same number. Tilt, lean and turn until yours matches, then hold still to lock it. First to lock wins.
Your phone makes its own number from how you hold it: one digit for tilt, one for lean, one for the way you face, and on Hard, one for how high you hold it.
One phone taps HOST. Everyone on the same Wi-Fi (or that phone's hotspot) taps JOIN and picks the game.
Everyone gets the same number at the same moment. Tilt, lean and turn until every digit on your screen matches it.
Freeze! The ring fills while you hold the pose. First to lock it wins the round, and everyone taps READY for the next.
Fast to start, easy to learn, loud to play.
Phones talk to each other over Wi-Fi or a hotspot. No server, no computer, no data plan.
Two digits, three, or all four. On Easy, the host picks which two moves everyone plays.
Every friend is a stick person who searches, gets excited when they're close, and cheers when they lock.
Between rounds, the next one starts when everyone has tapped READY.
The same pose always makes the same number, so you get better every round.
Play everything without an account. Sign in only if you want your name and stats on every phone.
Every screen below is the actual game, captured on iPhone.

The short version. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Analytics counts games, never your name, email or room codes, and you can switch it off. Ads are only personalized if you allow it.
No account needed. Guests' names stay on their phone and go only to the players in their game.
Motion readings are used on the phone to play and never saved or sent.
Optional accounts keep only your email, name and game stats, and you can delete yours in the app.
No. One phone hosts and everyone on the same Wi-Fi, or on that phone's hotspot, joins. No computer and no internet needed. If one phone shares a hotspot, that phone should be the host.
From one (solo practice) up to twelve phones in a room.
Make sure everyone is on the same Wi-Fi. Guest and hotel Wi-Fi often stop phones seeing each other; use one phone's hotspot instead. On iPhone, check Settings › GyroLock › Local Network is on.
On Hard, the fourth digit is how high you hold your phone, measured from where you were when the round began. It needs a pressure sensor; if any phone in the room doesn't have one, rounds play three digits instead.
No. Everyone can play as a guest. Signing in with Apple, Google or email is optional and only keeps your name and stats on every phone.
Yes. It's free to play and supported by ads, which never appear during a round. A one-time Remove Ads purchase in Info turns them off for good.
You'll be turning around while looking at your screen, so give each other room, keep away from stairs and breakables, and look up before you turn.
Coming soon to iPhone and Android.
This policy explains what information the GyroLock app (“GyroLock”) and the GyroLock website collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. GyroLock is made by Bitlitic LLC (“Bitlitic”, “we”, “us”), which is responsible for the information described here. Our Terms of Use are a separate document and form the rest of our agreement with you.
The short version
You type a player name on the home screen, and it's saved on your phone so it's there next time. When you host or join a game, it's sent to the other phones in that game so everyone can see who is playing. Names containing profanity are shown to other players as “Player”. As a guest playing on Wi-Fi, your name isn't sent to us or anyone else.
Why: to show who is playing (performance of our contract with you).
GyroLock is played by moving your phone, so it reads the phone's motion sensors: tilt, compass direction and, where the phone has a barometer, air pressure (for height). The readings are used on your phone, moment to moment, to work out your number. They aren't saved and aren't sent to us or to other players. Other players only see how close you are (for example, “2 of 3 digits”). The compass gives a direction, not your location.
Why: the sensors are the game controller.
To find games hosted by phones on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot, and to let others join yours, GyroLock uses your local network; on iPhone this is why the app asks for Local Network access. Game traffic goes directly between the phones in the game, never through us. It contains only player names, game settings and game progress, and it isn't encrypted.
Why: to play together in the same room.
Accounts are optional. If you sign in with Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password, sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We receive your email address and a unique account ID. If you use Apple and choose “Hide My Email”, we receive Apple's private relay address instead of your real email. If you use a password, Firebase stores it in hashed form; we never see it. We don't ask Apple or Google for anything else.
Your profile holds your player name and your game stats: matches played and won, rounds played and won, and your fastest lock. It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States, and our security rules allow only you to read or change it. We only email you when you ask us to, for example to reset your password.
Why: to give you the account you asked for, so your name and stats are there on any phone you sign in on (performance of our contract).
If you play online, your player name, your game progress, whether you've tapped READY, and a random player number pass through Google Firebase Realtime Database in the United States so players in different places can play together. Your entry in a room, including your name, is removed as soon as you leave or lose your connection, and the room is removed when its last player leaves through the app. If the last player's connection drops instead, what remains of the room holds only random IDs, game settings and round results, never names. As a guest online, you're given an anonymous ID that isn't linked to your email or your device's identity.
Why: to run online games and keep them fair (performance of our contract).
To stop fake clients from abusing online games and accounts, GyroLock uses Firebase App Check. The app asks Apple (App Attest) on iPhone, or Google Play Integrity on Android, to confirm it's a genuine, unmodified copy of GyroLock running on a real device, and attaches the short-lived token it gets back to its requests to Firebase. The check is about the app and device, not about you, and the token doesn't contain your name, email or activity. Apple and Google process what they need to answer under their own privacy policies.
Why: security and fraud prevention (our legitimate interest in protecting the game).
If GyroLock crashes or hits an error it can't recover from, Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) sends a report so we can find and fix the problem: the technical trace of where it failed, your device model, operating system and app version, and a random installation identifier. Crash reports aren't linked to your account and never include your name, email or game content. Crash reporting is on by default because it only serves to keep GyroLock working; turn it off any time in Home › Info › Send crash reports.
Under the same setting, error reports also go to Bitlitic Ops, our own error-reporting system (on a server Bitlitic runs, rented from Hostinger in Boston, USA): the error message and technical trace (with anything that looks like an email address or token removed), the app version, and your platform. They aren't linked to your account. Like any server, it sees the IP address a report comes from.
Why: to find and fix bugs and crashes (our legitimate interest in a working app).
When analytics is on, GyroLock uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand how the app is used. It records events such as finishing the tutorial, signing in, hosting or joining a game (Wi-Fi or online), starting and finishing a match (with the number of players and rounds, the difficulty, whether you won, and how long it took), finishing a round (how many digits, whether and how fast you locked), leaving a match early, changing a setting or theme, opening the rules, seeing or tapping an ad, and viewing, starting or completing the Remove Ads purchase (with its product, price and currency), plus the screens you open.
Events carry counts, on/off flags and fixed labels only — never your player name, email or room codes.
Events are linked to a random app-instance identifier and, while you're signed in to an account, to your account ID (a random string, not your email), so we can count one person's phones as one player. Google Analytics also processes your IP address to estimate an approximate location (such as country and city — the IP address itself isn't stored in Analytics), plus your device model, operating system, language, app version, and when and how long the app is used. This is how we count active players.
The same events and screen names are also sent, under the same choice, to Bitlitic Ops, our own analytics system (self-hosted Umami at analytics.ops.bitlitic.com), which Bitlitic runs on a server rented from Hostinger in Boston, USA. With each event it receives your device type, operating system, screen size and language, and an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from your IP address; it also receives an estimate of the ad revenue from the ads you're shown. It doesn't store your IP address — visits are grouped using a hash that changes every month — and it receives no advertising identifiers and no account ID, name, email or anything you type. Bitlitic Ops data isn't sold or shared, and isn't used for ads or to track you across other apps or websites.
Your choice. If your device's region is in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, analytics stays off unless you tap Allow when GyroLock asks. Everywhere else it's on by default. Anyone can turn it off at any time in Home › Info › Share usage analytics; turning it off stops collection and resets the app-instance identifier. GyroLock's analytics doesn't read the advertising identifier (IDFA or Android advertising ID), Google signals and advertising features are off, and analytics data isn't used for ads.
Why: to find out which features are used, where people get stuck, and whether changes make GyroLock better (our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it).
GyroLock is free because it shows ads, supplied by Google AdMob: an ad card on Home, in the lobby while players gather, and on the results between rounds; and now and then a full-screen ad when you leave a finished match. Ads never appear during the countdown or a round. Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience (rated PG).
To show and measure ads, Google's ad software on your device collects your IP address (which can estimate your approximate location), device and app information, ad interactions, and identifiers: the iPhone advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, and on Android the advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in your phone's settings). Google uses this for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and several US states), GyroLock shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested, and you can revisit your answer in Home › Info › Ads › Ad privacy. If you decline tracking or personalization, you still see ads, but they're based on the app and context rather than a profile of you.
Ads never receive what you do in GyroLock: not your player name, email, room codes or game results. GyroLock's own analytics (above) is never used for ads.
Why: to keep GyroLock free (our legitimate interest, or your consent where required for personalized ads and ad storage).
You can buy Remove Ads, a one-time purchase that turns off every ad in GyroLock. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play): we never receive your card or payment details. To confirm the purchase and restore it, we use RevenueCat, which receives a random purchaser ID (your account ID, if you're signed in), the store receipt and transaction details (product, price, currency, date, store country), and device and app details. Once you own Remove Ads, GyroLock doesn't start Google's ad software or ask for ad consent.
Why: to provide what you bought (performance of our contract) and to keep records we're legally required to keep.
GyroLock does not access your photo library, camera, microphone, contacts or location services.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it to answer you.
Like any internet service, the providers that run GyroLock (see section 4) receive technical information when your device connects to them — such as your IP address, device and operating-system type, app version, and timestamps — and use it to deliver the service, keep it secure, and prevent fraud.
These are stored only in the app's storage on your phone and are never sent to us:
Because they're only on your phone, we can't back them up or restore them. Deleting the app deletes them. As a guest, that is everything.
We don't sell your personal information for money. If you allow personalized ads, Google's ad software may use your device's identifiers and app activity for targeted advertising, which some US state laws call “selling” or “sharing” — see section 8 for how to opt out.
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | What for | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore) | Optional accounts and profiles | Email address, account ID, player name, game stats, technical data |
| Google (Firebase Realtime Database) | Online games, if you play online | Player name, game progress, READY, random player number, anonymous or account ID, technical data |
| Google (Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase App Check) | Crash reports; checking requests come from the genuine app | Crash traces, device and app details, installation ID (not your account); App Check tokens |
| Google (Google Analytics for Firebase) | Usage analytics, if it's on | Usage events, app-instance ID, account ID (if signed in), device and app details, IP address (for approximate location) |
| Google (AdMob) | Showing and measuring ads | IP address, device and app details, ad interactions, advertising identifiers (IDFA only with your permission), consent choices |
| RevenueCat | Confirming and restoring the Remove Ads purchase | Purchaser ID (account ID if signed in), store receipts and transaction details, device and app details |
| Hostinger | Hosting this website, and the server in Boston, USA that runs Bitlitic Ops, our self-hosted analytics and error reporting | Web server logs; Bitlitic Ops analytics events and error reports (stored on that server, which Bitlitic operates) |
| Apple and Google | Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In, app distribution, payments for in-app purchases, and device attestation (App Attest, Play Integrity) | Governed by your agreement with them and their privacy policies |
We may also disclose information: (a) to other players in your game, as described in section 5; (b) if required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Bitlitic, our users or the public, to investigate fraud or security issues, or to enforce our Terms; (c) to a successor if Bitlitic or GyroLock is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets or bankruptcy, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information until you are told otherwise; and (d) with your consent.
Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Please don't use your full name or other personal information as your player name.
Backups and the internal systems of our providers may retain deleted data for a limited period before it is overwritten under their standard processes.
To make a request, email customer-service@bitlitic.com from the email address on your account. We'll verify the request, answer within the time the law requires (usually 30 days, or 45 days under US state laws), and won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows; we may ask them for proof of authority and ask you to confirm your identity. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal” in the subject; we'll respond to appeals within the time the law requires, and if you're unsatisfied you may contact your state attorney general or data protection authority.
If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access it; to correct it; to delete it; and to opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We don't sell personal information for money or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Personalized ads from Google AdMob can count as “selling”, “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under these laws. To opt out, use Home › Info › Ads › Ad privacy, decline the iPhone tracking prompt (or turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in iOS Settings), or delete your advertising ID on Android. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires, and opting out doesn't change anything else about GyroLock. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information except to provide the service (for example, your account log-in).
In the last 12 months we collected these categories: identifiers (email, account ID, anonymous ID, app-instance ID, IP address); customer records (player name); commercial information (whether you bought Remove Ads, and the transaction details); internet or network activity (online game progress, app usage events and the technical data described above); and approximate geolocation derived from IP address (by Google Analytics and Bitlitic Ops, if analytics is on). The sources, purposes, recipients and retention are described in sections 1, 4 and 6. We disclosed identifiers and network activity to the service providers in section 4 for business purposes only. Google processes analytics data for us as a service provider, with advertising features turned off. If you allow personalized ads, identifiers and device data are made available to Google AdMob and its advertising partners for advertising.
Bitlitic LLC is the controller of your personal data. We rely on these legal bases: performance of our contract with you (accounts, online games, showing your name to the players in your game); our legitimate interests in securing the service (including App Check), preventing abuse and fixing crashes, balanced against your rights (you can object to crash reports by switching them off); consent where we ask for it — usage analytics (asked in the app; withdraw any time in Home › Info), personalized ads and ad storage (Google's consent form; change it in Home › Info › Ads › Ad privacy); and legal obligations. You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
GyroLock is a party game suitable for all ages, and it can be played fully without an account. Accounts are not intended for anyone under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing without a parent), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. Children should play as guests and use a nickname rather than their real name, especially online. GyroLock isn't directed to children, but it is a family game, so its ads are limited to content rated for a general audience (PG). If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Information sent to Firebase is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to accounts and online rooms is restricted by security rules: only you can read your profile, each player can only change their own entry in a room, and requests must come from the genuine app (App Check). Local network games are played directly between phones and aren't encrypted, as described in section 5. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
Bitlitic is based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from yours. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses in our providers' data processing terms.
This page is a static website. It sets no cookies and has no ads, analytics or third-party scripts; its images are served from bitlitic.com and it uses your device's own fonts. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and operations.
We may update this policy. We'll change the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are material, tell you in the app before they take effect. The current version is always at bitlitic.com/gyrolock/privacy.
Questions or requests: customer-service@bitlitic.com · Bitlitic LLC, Ohio, United States.
Please read these terms carefully. Section 17 contains a binding arbitration agreement and class action waiver that affect how disputes are resolved. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as described in section 17.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Bitlitic LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (“Bitlitic”, “we”, “us”), covering the GyroLock mobile app, the online services that power it, and this website (together, “GyroLock” or the “Service”). They also serve as the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
The short version (the full terms below control)
By downloading, installing, accessing or using GyroLock, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms and confirm you have read the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use GyroLock. If you use GyroLock on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
Anyone may play GyroLock as a guest. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old (or older, if your country requires it). If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may use GyroLock only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use. You may not use GyroLock if you're barred from doing so under the laws of the United States or any other applicable jurisdiction, or if we have previously terminated your account.
GyroLock is a party game. Every player gets the same target number, each player's phone makes its own number from how the phone is held (its tilt, lean, compass direction and, where available, height), and players move their phones to match the target; the first to match and hold wins the round. Games are hosted by a phone on a local network or, optionally, online. Accounts are optional and keep a player name and game stats across phones.
GyroLock is not a measuring instrument, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple or Google. Sensor readings vary between phones and can be affected by magnets, metal, calibration and the environment, so readings, digits and game results may differ from phone to phone and are not guaranteed to be accurate or fair. Results are for fun only.
Your settings, and the stats kept while you play as a guest, are stored only on your device. They are not backed up by us and will be lost if you delete the app or reset or lose your device. We have no ability to recover them.
You don't need an account to play. If you create one, you agree to give accurate information, keep it up to date, keep your password and devices secure, and not share your account. You're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at customer-service@bitlitic.com if you suspect unauthorised use. You may not sell or transfer your account. You can delete your account in the app at any time (Home › person button › Delete account).
GyroLock is free to download and supported by ads. Ads are provided by third parties such as Google AdMob; we don't endorse and aren't responsible for the products, services or content they advertise, and your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them.
Remove Ads. You may buy Remove Ads, a one-time in-app purchase at the price shown in the app before you pay. It removes the ads that GyroLock itself shows. It works on the devices where you use the same store account (restore it with Restore in Home › Info › Ads), and, if you're signed in to a GyroLock account when you buy it or later, on any device where you sign in to that account. It is a limited, non-transferable licence to use GyroLock without ads, not a sale of any goods or ownership interest, and it has no cash value.
Payment and refunds. Purchases are made through, and billed by, Apple or Google under their terms, and are final except where their refund policies or applicable law say otherwise. Please request refunds from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play; we can't issue store refunds ourselves. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, Remove Ads is withdrawn.
If GyroLock changes or ends. Remove Ads lasts for as long as we offer GyroLock and your access is in good standing. If we suspend or terminate your access under section 12, or discontinue GyroLock, Remove Ads ends with it and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, no refund is due. We may change what GyroLock includes, and the price of Remove Ads for future purchases, at any time.
“User Content” means anything you submit to GyroLock, including player names, feedback and support messages.
Ownership. You keep whatever rights you have in your User Content.
Licence to us. You grant Bitlitic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable (through multiple tiers) licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute and otherwise make available your User Content, in any media, in connection with operating, providing, improving and promoting GyroLock and our business — for example, showing your player name to the other players in your game. This licence continues after you delete your account or stop using GyroLock, for content that remains on GyroLock under these Terms and for feedback we have already used. You waive (or agree not to assert) any moral rights in your User Content to the extent permitted by law.
Your promises. For all User Content you submit, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own it or have all rights, licences and permissions needed to submit it and to grant the licence above; (b) it — and our use of it as permitted here — does not infringe or violate anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights, or any law; and (c) it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
No obligation to use or monitor. Player names are chosen by players, not Bitlitic. GyroLock hides names containing profanity from other players, but we are not obliged to pre-screen, review, keep or display any User Content, and we do not endorse it. We may, but are not required to, remove, replace, refuse or restrict any User Content, at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice. You are solely responsible for your User Content.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
We may investigate and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing or replacing names, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement.
To report an offensive player name, cheating or abuse, email customer-service@bitlitic.com with what happened and, if you were playing online, the room code. We act on valid reports promptly, which may include removing the content and suspending the account involved.
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on GyroLock infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at customer-service@bitlitic.com (subject “DMCA notice”) that includes:
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We may forward notices and counter-notices to the other party. We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
GyroLock uses services provided by others, including Google Firebase (accounts, online games, analytics, crash reports and checks that the app is genuine), Google AdMob (ads), RevenueCat (purchases), sign-in by Apple and Google, and device attestation by Apple (App Attest) and Google (Play Integrity). Ads, player names and other content in a game come from third parties and other players.
Third-party content and services are provided by those third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control, verify or endorse them and are not responsible or liable for their availability, accuracy, legality, content, products or practices, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of them. Your dealings with third parties, including other players, are solely between you and them.
Subject to these Terms, Bitlitic grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and use the GyroLock app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. GyroLock — including its software, design, text, graphics, sounds, icons, and the “GyroLock” name and logo (but excluding User Content and third-party content) — is owned by Bitlitic or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not use our names, logos or trademarks without our prior written permission. GyroLock includes open-source software licensed under its own terms, which govern those components.
We may change, add, suspend or discontinue any part of GyroLock — including features, online play and third-party integrations — at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We may set limits on use. GyroLock may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, network conditions, third-party failures or events outside our control. We have no obligation to provide updates, support or maintenance, though we may choose to.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use GyroLock after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you don't agree, stop using GyroLock and delete your account. Changes to section 17 do not apply to disputes you had already notified us of before the change.
You may stop using GyroLock at any time and delete your account in the app (Home › person button › Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access, remove your content, or delete your account, at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you've violated these Terms or the law, if required by law, to protect GyroLock, its users or others, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 3 (last two paragraphs), 6, 8, 9 and 13 through 21, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, survive termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GyroLock and all content, information and services provided through it are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. Bitlitic, its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors and service providers (the “Bitlitic Parties”) expressly disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limitation, the Bitlitic Parties do not warrant that: GyroLock will meet your requirements or expectations, or be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; any sensor reading, digit, game result, stat or player name is accurate, complete, appropriate or lawful; defects will be corrected; data stored on your device or by us will be preserved; or GyroLock is free of viruses or other harmful components. No advice or information obtained from us or through GyroLock creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms. You use GyroLock at your own discretion and risk.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you; in that case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will the Bitlitic Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data (including settings, stats and other on-device data), content, or use, or for the cost of substitute services, or for any damages arising from: your use of or inability to use GyroLock; physical activity while playing, including any injury to you or others or damage to your phone or other property; any content or conduct of any player or third party; unauthorised access to or alteration of your account, transmissions or data; or any errors, inaccuracies, interruptions or security breaches — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), product liability, statute or any other legal theory, and whether or not any Bitlitic Party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of the Bitlitic Parties for all claims arising out of or relating to GyroLock or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Bitlitic for GyroLock in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the liability, and (b) fifty US dollars (US $50).
These limitations are an essential part of the bargain between you and Bitlitic, apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose, and allocate risk in a way that allows us to offer GyroLock for free. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct where such limitation is prohibited.
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to GyroLock or these Terms must be brought within one (1) year after the claim arises; otherwise it is permanently barred.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Bitlitic Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of GyroLock, including how and where you play; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (d) your violation of any right of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy and publicity rights. We may assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification at your expense, and you'll cooperate with us. You won't settle any such matter without our prior written consent.
GyroLock is a physical game. To play, you tilt, turn, raise and lower your phone, and often turn your whole body, while looking at the screen rather than around you. Other players are doing the same at the same time. Play only where it is safe to do so, and in particular:
You are responsible for choosing where, how and with whom you play, and for complying with any rules of the place you're in. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risk of injury to yourself or others, and of loss of or damage to property (including your phone), arising out of or relating to playing GyroLock, and of any dispute with other players or third parties, and you release the Bitlitic Parties from all claims, known and unknown, arising out of those risks. If you're a California resident, you waive California Civil Code § 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” You waive any similar law of any other jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, as described in section 14.
Informal resolution first. Before starting any claim, you and Bitlitic agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days after one party sends the other a written notice describing the claim and the relief sought. Send yours to customer-service@bitlitic.com (subject “Dispute notice”), including your name and, if you have an account, your account's email address.
Binding individual arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and Bitlitic agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to GyroLock or these Terms (including their formation, scope, validity or enforceability) will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, except as set out below. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, before a single arbitrator, and may be conducted by video, phone or written submissions. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, but only in favour of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent needed to provide relief warranted by that party's individual claim. Payment of AAA fees will be governed by the AAA's rules, except that if you show that the costs of arbitration would be prohibitive compared with litigation, we will pay as much of the filing and hearing fees as the arbitrator considers necessary to prevent that.
Exceptions. Either party may (a) bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies and stays there, and (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorised access to the Service.
Class action and jury trial waiver. You and Bitlitic each agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, representative or private attorney general proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. You and Bitlitic each waive the right to a trial by jury.
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar demands are filed against Bitlitic by or with the help of the same law firm or organisation, they will be administered in batches of up to 25 under the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules, and the statute of limitations for demands not yet in a batch is tolled.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing customer-service@bitlitic.com with the subject “Arbitration opt-out”, your name and, if you have an account, your account's email address, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out doesn't affect any other part of these Terms.
Severability. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (and only that claim) must be severed and brought in court as described in section 18, and stayed pending arbitration of the remaining claims. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or GyroLock are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Subject to section 17, any claim not subject to arbitration must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you and Bitlitic consent to their personal jurisdiction and venue. If you live outside the United States, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, where those laws apply regardless of the law chosen here.
If you downloaded GyroLock from Apple's App Store, you and Bitlitic acknowledge that: (a) these Terms are between you and Bitlitic only, not Apple, and Bitlitic, not Apple, is solely responsible for GyroLock and its content; (b) your licence is limited to using GyroLock on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that GyroLock may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing; (c) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for GyroLock; (d) if GyroLock fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are Bitlitic's responsibility to the extent not disclaimed in these Terms; (e) Bitlitic, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to GyroLock or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that GyroLock fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws; (f) in the event of a third-party claim that GyroLock or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Bitlitic, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim; (g) you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; (h) you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using GyroLock; and (i) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. Where Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies and conflicts with these Terms on a matter it covers, it governs that matter. Questions, complaints or claims about GyroLock should be sent to Bitlitic at the contact details in section 22.
If you downloaded GyroLock from Google Play, you also agree to Google Play's Terms of Service. Google is not responsible for GyroLock, and Bitlitic, not Google, is responsible for GyroLock and its support.

Email customer-service@bitlitic.com and a person will read it. We usually reply within a few days. It helps to include your phone model, the app version (Home › Info › About), and what happened just before something went wrong.
Everyone gets the same number. Your phone makes its own number from how you hold it: TILT (top toward you or away), LEAN (left or right edge up), TURN (the way you face) and, on Hard, HEIGHT. Move until every digit matches, then hold still while the ring fills. First to lock wins; between rounds, everyone taps READY.
Everyone must be on the same Wi-Fi. Guest, hotel and school Wi-Fi often block phones from seeing each other; turn on one phone's hotspot and have everyone join it, with that phone as the host. On iPhone, check Settings › GyroLock › Local Network is on.
TURN uses the compass. Move away from metal, magnets, laptops and speakers, and wave the phone in a figure-eight to recalibrate it. Home › Info › Sensor check shows what your phone reads.
Height needs a pressure sensor (barometer), which some phones don't have. If any phone in the room lacks one, rounds play three digits so nobody is handed a digit they can't hit.
GyroLock's sounds follow your iPhone's ring/silent switch. Turn the switch to ring, or check Home › Info › Sound is on.
Home › Info › Ads › Remove ads. It's a one-time purchase. On a new phone, or after reinstalling, tap Restore in the same place. Ads never appear during a round either way.
No. Accounts are optional and only keep your name and stats on every phone. Sign in from the person button on Home.
In the account sheet, tap “Forgot password?” and we'll email you a reset link. If you signed in with Apple or Google, use that button instead.
Home › person button › Delete account. It's immediate. If you can't reach the app, see delete your account.
Give each other room, keep away from stairs and breakables, look up before you turn, and supervise children. See section 16 of the Terms of Use.
Accounts are optional, so this only applies if you signed in. Guests have nothing stored with us: deleting the app removes everything.
That's it. It happens immediately and can't be undone.
Email customer-service@bitlitic.com from the email address on your GyroLock account with the subject “Delete my GyroLock account”. We verify that the request came from that address, delete the account within 30 days (usually much sooner), and reply to confirm. We can't act on requests from a different address.
Data on your phone. Your settings and the stats kept on this phone stay until you delete the app.
Support emails you sent. Kept while we handle them and for our records. Email us if you'd like them removed.
Crash reports, which were never linked to your account and expire after 90 days.
Usage analytics already sent to Google Analytics. Deleting your account stops linking events to you and resets the app's analytics identifier; past events expire automatically within 14 months. Events sent to Bitlitic Ops were never linked to your account.
Purchase records. If you bought Remove Ads, it stays with your store account (use Restore). We and RevenueCat keep the transaction record for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and Apple or Google keep their own.
Short-lived logs and backups kept by our providers, which expire on their normal schedule (see the Privacy Policy).
