Build a PickList
Search any movie and add the ones you're weighing up. Make a list for date night, a horror marathon, or the kids.

Movie night, settled
Put the movies you're considering in a PickList. Two face off at a time: flick away the one you'd skip. The last movie standing is tonight's pick.
Free to download.
How it works
Flick turns "what do you want to watch?" into a quick head-to-head that always ends with an answer.
Search any movie and add the ones you're weighing up. Make a list for date night, a horror marathon, or the kids.

Two movies face off. Flick away the one you'd skip — the other stays, and a new challenger steps in.

The last movie standing is tonight's pick. Flick remembers it on Home, ready when the popcorn is.

Try it right here
Drag a card left or right, or tap ✕. The one you keep stays put and the next movie steps in. These are made-up films — the real app works with any movie you search for.

Privacy
Movie searches pass through our server to TheTVDB without your name attached, and we don't keep them.
Your lists, your winners and your recent searches are stored on your device, not on our servers.
Delete your account right in the app, in Settings. It's immediate. Read the privacy policy.
FAQ
Yes. Flick is free to download and use, with ads. If you'd rather not see them, a one-time Remove Ads purchase turns them off on every device where you sign in.
No. Flick helps you decide what to watch. You watch the movie wherever you normally would — a streaming service, a rental, or your own shelf.
Movie details and artwork come from TheTVDB. Star ratings and reviews come from other Flick users. Information can occasionally be incomplete or wrong — tell us and we'll look into it.
An account (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email) protects the movie search service from abuse and lets you post reviews under your username. Your PickLists themselves stay on your phone.
Yes — pass the phone around, or have one person flick while everyone shouts. Every flick removes exactly one movie, so it always ends on a single pick.
In the app: Settings → Delete account. It's immediate. If you can't get into the app, see how to delete your account by email.
Flick is coming soon to iPhone.
This policy explains what information the Flick app (“Flick”) and the Flick website collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Flick is made by Bitlitic LLC (“Bitlitic”, “we”, “us”), which is responsible for the information described here. Our Terms of Use are a separate document and form the rest of our agreement with you.
The short version
To use Flick you create an account with Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We receive your email address and a unique account ID. If you use Apple, Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real email, and shares your name only if you choose to. If you use Google, Google shares your name and email address. If you use a password, Firebase stores it in hashed form; we never see it.
Why: to create and secure your account, let you sign in on your devices, confirm sensitive changes (like a new password or account deletion), and contact you about your account if needed.
When you set up Flick you give a first name, last name, a unique username, and choose an avatar from Flick's built-in set. We also store the date you joined, simple counters (how many reviews you've written and games you've played to a winner), the IDs of the movies you've reviewed (so deleting your account can delete those reviews), and the accounts you've blocked.
Why: to personalise the app (“Good evening, Jordan”), keep usernames unique, attach your reviews to your account, and hide reviews from people you've blocked. Your profile is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and our security rules allow only you to read or change it.
When you search for a movie, open its details, or view “Popular now”, the app sends the search text or the movie's ID to our server (the Flick API, which Bitlitic runs on a server hosted by Hostinger), together with a short-lived sign-in token that proves the request comes from a signed-in Flick user. Our server checks the token, applies a per-account rate limit held only in memory, and forwards the search text or movie ID to TheTVDB — without your account ID, name, email or token. Movie results are cached in the server's memory and on your device so they load faster; those caches are about movies, not about you.
We do not store or log your searches. The web server in front of our API keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, the address requested (for example /flick/tvdb, never the search text), response status and your device's user-agent — for up to 14 days, for security and troubleshooting, and then deletes them automatically.
Why: to provide movie search and details, and to stop the service from being abused.
When you review a movie we store your star rating (1 to 5), anything you write (up to 1,000 characters), the movie's ID, title, year and poster address, your username, your avatar choice, your account ID, and when you posted or last edited it. You can edit or delete a review at any time.
Why: to show your review to other Flick users on that movie's page and to calculate its average rating (performance of our contract). Please don't put personal information in a review.
If you report a review, we store the reason you picked, the review reported, your account ID and the time; reports are private and only Bitlitic sees them. If you block someone, their account ID is added to your profile so their reviews are hidden for you; they aren't told.
Why: to keep reviews safe and respectful and act on reports within 24 hours (our legitimate interest, and app store requirements).
If you send a bug report or a feature idea from the app, we store what you write, your username, email address and account ID (so we can reply), and for bug reports your app version, device model and operating-system version. Only Bitlitic sees them.
Why: to fix problems and decide what to build next (our legitimate interest).
When analytics is on, Flick uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand how the app is used. It records events such as opening a screen, finishing onboarding, signing in, creating a PickList, adding or removing a movie, starting, finishing or leaving a game (with how many movies it had and how long it took), opening a movie's details, trailer or IMDb page, how many results a search returned, submitting or reviewing a community movie, and changing the theme or font. It also records a few settings-level facts about you: how you signed in, your theme and font, and roughly how many PickLists you have (for example “2–4”).
Events carry counts, on/off flags and fixed labels only — never your search text, PickList names, the titles of movies you pick, your name, username or email.
Events are linked to a random app-instance identifier and, while you're signed in, to your Flick account ID (a random string, not your email), so we can count one person's phone and tablet as one user. Google Analytics also processes your IP address to estimate an approximate location (such as country and city — the IP address itself isn't stored in Analytics), plus your device model, operating system, language, app version, and when and how long the app is used.
Your choice. If your device's region is in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, analytics stays off unless you tap Allow when Flick asks. Everywhere else it's on by default. Anyone can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share usage analytics; turning it off stops collection and resets the app-instance identifier. Flick doesn't read the advertising identifier (IDFA or Android advertising ID) for analytics, Google signals and advertising features are off, and analytics data isn't used for ads.
Why: to find out which features are useful, where people get stuck, and whether changes make Flick better.
If Flick crashes or hits an error it can't recover from, Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) sends a report so we can find and fix the problem: the technical trace of where it failed, the screens you had just opened (by screen name, such as “MovieDetail”), your device model, operating system and app version, free memory and disk space, whether the app was in the foreground, and a random installation identifier. Crash reports aren't linked to your Flick account and never include what you typed — no searches, PickList names or profile details. Crash reporting is on by default because it only serves to keep Flick working; turn it off any time in Settings → Privacy → Share crash reports.
Why: to find and fix bugs and crashes (our legitimate interest in a working app).
To stop other people from abusing our movie search service and Firebase backend, Flick uses Firebase App Check. The app asks Apple (App Attest or DeviceCheck) on iPhone, or Google Play Integrity on Android, to confirm it's a genuine, unmodified copy of Flick running on a real device, and attaches the short-lived token it gets back to its requests. The check is about the app and device, not about you, and the token doesn't contain your name, email or activity. Apple and Google process what they need to answer under their own privacy policies. Our server only checks that a token is valid and keeps a running count of requests that fail the check — never the token itself.
Why: security and fraud prevention (our legitimate interest in protecting the service).
Flick is free because it shows ads, supplied by Google AdMob: a full-screen ad now and then during or after a game (you can skip it after a few seconds), an optional short video to undo a flick, a banner at the end of a movie's details, and a “Sponsored” tile among popular movies. Ads are limited to content suitable for teens.
To show and measure ads, Google's ad software on your device collects your IP address (which can estimate your approximate location), device and app information, ad interactions, and identifiers: the iPhone advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, and on Android the advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in your phone's settings). Google uses this for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and several US states), Flick shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested, and you can revisit your answer in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices. If you decline tracking or personalization, you still see ads, but they're based on the app and context rather than a profile of you. Flick asks about ads only after you've finished a couple of games, never on first launch.
Ads never receive what you do in Flick: not your searches, PickLists, the movies you pick, your name, username or email. Flick's own analytics (above) is never used for ads.
Why: to keep Flick free (our legitimate interest, or your consent where required for personalized ads and ad storage).
You can buy Remove Ads, a one-time purchase that turns off ads in Flick. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play): we never receive your card or payment details. To confirm the purchase and make it work wherever you sign in, we use RevenueCat, which receives your Flick account ID, the email address on your account, the store receipt and transaction details (product, price, currency, date, store country), and device and app details. Once no ad is due, Flick doesn't load Google's ad software for ads or ask for ad consent.
Why: to provide what you bought (performance of our contract) and to keep records we're legally required to keep.
Flick does not access your photo library, camera or microphone.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it to answer you.
Like any internet service, the providers that run Flick (see section 4) receive technical information when your device connects to them — such as your IP address, device and operating-system type, app version, and timestamps — and use it to deliver the service, keep it secure, and prevent fraud. When the app shows movie artwork and cast photos, your device loads those images directly from the image hosts (TheTVDB's artwork servers, Google Cloud Storage, and for some older catalog entries The Movie Database's image servers), which receive a standard web request from your device.
These are stored only in the app's storage on your phone and are never sent to us:
Because they're only on your phone, we can't back them up or restore them. Deleting the app deletes them, and deleting your account deletes the ones belonging to that account.
We don't sell your personal information for money. If you allow personalized ads, Google's ad software may use your device's identifiers and app activity for targeted advertising, which some US state laws call “selling” or “sharing” — see section 8 for how to opt out.
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | What for | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage) | Accounts, profiles, reviews, reports, bug reports and feature requests, artwork for older catalog entries | Account, profile, reviews and other content you send, technical data |
| Google (Google Analytics for Firebase) | Usage analytics, if it's on | Usage events, app-instance ID, account ID, device and app details, IP address (for approximate location) |
| Google (Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase App Check) | Crash reports; checking requests come from the genuine app | Crash traces, device and app details, installation ID (not your account); App Check tokens |
| Google (AdMob) | Showing and measuring ads | IP address, device and app details, ad interactions, advertising identifiers (IDFA only with your permission), consent choices |
| RevenueCat | Confirming Remove Ads purchases and restoring them on your devices | Account ID, account email, store receipts and transaction details, device and app details |
| Hostinger | Hosting the server that runs the Flick API and this website | Search requests passing through, web server logs |
| TheTVDB | Movie information and artwork | Search text and movie IDs from our server — not your identity |
| Apple and Google | Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In, app distribution, payments for in-app purchases, and device attestation (App Attest, DeviceCheck, Play Integrity) | Governed by your agreement with them and their privacy policies |
We may also disclose information: (a) to other Flick users, as described in section 5; (b) if required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Bitlitic, our users or the public, to investigate fraud or security issues, or to enforce our Terms; (c) to a successor if Bitlitic or Flick is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets or bankruptcy, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information until you are told otherwise; and (d) with your consent.
Links in the app — such as trailers (often on YouTube) and IMDb pages — open third-party websites whose own privacy policies apply. We don't control them.
Please don't put personal information in a review.
Backups and the internal systems of our providers may retain deleted data for a limited period before it is overwritten under their standard processes.
To make a request, email customer-service@bitlitic.com from the email address on your account. We'll verify the request, answer within the time the law requires (usually 30 days, or 45 days under US state laws), and won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows; we may ask them for proof of authority and ask you to confirm your identity. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal” in the subject; we'll respond to appeals within the time the law requires, and if you're unsatisfied you may contact your state attorney general or data protection authority.
If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access it; to correct it; to delete it; and to opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We don't sell personal information for money or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Personalized ads from Google AdMob can count as “selling”, “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under these laws. To opt out, use Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices, decline the iPhone tracking prompt (or turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in iOS Settings), or delete your advertising ID on Android. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires, and opting out doesn't change anything else about Flick. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information except to provide the service (for example, your account log-in).
In the last 12 months we collected these categories: identifiers (email, account ID, username, IP address); customer records (name); commercial information (whether you bought Remove Ads, and the transaction details); internet or network activity (requests to our API, app usage events, technical data described above); approximate geolocation derived from IP address (by Google Analytics, if analytics is on); and user-generated content you chose to contribute. The sources, purposes, recipients and retention are described in sections 1, 4 and 6. We disclosed identifiers and network activity to the service providers in section 4 for business purposes only. Google processes analytics data for us as a service provider, with advertising features turned off. If you allow personalized ads, identifiers and device data are made available to Google AdMob and its advertising partners for advertising.
Bitlitic LLC is the controller of your personal data. We rely on these legal bases: performance of our contract with you (accounts, search, community features); our legitimate interests in securing the service (including App Check), preventing abuse, moderating contributions, fixing crashes and improving Flick, balanced against your rights; consent where we ask for it — usage analytics (asked in the app; withdraw any time in Settings → Privacy), personalized ads and ad storage (Google's consent form; change it in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices); and legal obligations. You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Flick is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing without a parent). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to profiles is restricted by security rules so only the account owner can read them, requests to our API must carry a valid sign-in token, and the server's secrets are kept out of the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
Bitlitic is based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from yours. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses in our providers' data processing terms.
This page is a static website. It sets no cookies and has no analytics, ads or third-party scripts; its fonts and images are served from bitlitic.com. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and operations.
We may update this policy. We'll change the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are material, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The current version is always at bitlitic.com/flick/privacy.
Questions or requests: customer-service@bitlitic.com · Bitlitic LLC, Ohio, United States.
Please read these terms carefully. Section 17 contains a binding arbitration agreement and class action waiver that affect how disputes are resolved. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as described in section 17.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Bitlitic LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (“Bitlitic”, “we”, “us”), covering the Flick mobile app, the Flick API that powers it, and this website (together, “Flick” or the “Service”). They also serve as the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
The short version (the full terms below control)
By downloading, installing, accessing or using Flick, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms and confirm you have read the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Flick. If you use Flick on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
You must be at least 13 years old (or older, if your country requires it) to use Flick. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may use Flick only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use. You may not use Flick if you're barred from doing so under the laws of the United States or any other applicable jurisdiction, or if we have previously terminated your account.
Flick is an entertainment tool that helps you choose a movie: you build lists of movies (“PickLists”), eliminate them head-to-head, and the last one remaining is your pick. Flick also lets users search a movie catalog, see movie information, rate and review movies, read other users' reviews, and send bug reports and feature requests.
Flick does not stream, host, sell, rent or distribute movies; does not tell you where a movie is available; and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any film studio, distributor, streaming service, TheTVDB, IMDb, YouTube, Apple or Google. Movie titles, posters, artwork, names and trademarks shown in Flick belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification and informational purposes only.
Choosing what to watch is your decision. Movie information such as age ratings, genres, runtimes, descriptions and “adult” flags may be missing, inaccurate or out of date. Flick tries to hide adult titles from search but cannot guarantee it. You — and, for minors, a parent or guardian — are solely responsible for deciding whether a movie is appropriate before watching it.
Your PickLists, winners, recent searches and settings are stored only on your device. They are not backed up by us and will be lost if you delete the app, reset or lose your device, or delete your account. We have no ability to recover them.
You need an account to use Flick. You agree to give accurate information, keep it up to date, keep your password and devices secure, and not share your account. You're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at customer-service@bitlitic.com if you suspect unauthorised use. Usernames must not impersonate anyone, infringe anyone's rights, or be offensive; we may reclaim or change a username at our discretion. You may not sell or transfer your account.
Flick is free to download and supported by ads. Ads are provided by third parties such as Google AdMob; we don't endorse and aren't responsible for the products, services or content they advertise, and your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them.
Remove Ads. You may buy Remove Ads, a one-time in-app purchase at the price shown in the app before you pay. It removes the ads that Flick itself shows. It does not remove content from third parties that isn't an ad placed by Flick (such as trailers, websites or artwork that open from the app). Remove Ads is linked to the Flick account you are signed in to when you buy it: it applies on any device where you sign in to that account, and cannot be moved to a different Flick account. It is a limited, non-transferable licence to use Flick without ads, not a sale of any goods or ownership interest, and it has no cash value.
Payment and refunds. Purchases are made through, and billed by, Apple or Google under their terms, and are final except where their refund policies or applicable law say otherwise. Please request refunds from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play; we can't issue store refunds ourselves. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, Remove Ads is withdrawn. Deleting your account ends Remove Ads for that account and does not entitle you to a refund.
If Flick changes or ends. Remove Ads lasts for as long as we offer Flick and your account is in good standing. If we suspend or terminate your account under section 12, or discontinue Flick, Remove Ads ends with it and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, no refund is due. We may change what Flick includes, and the price of Remove Ads for future purchases, at any time.
“User Content” means anything you submit to Flick, including reviews and ratings, reports, bug reports, feature requests, usernames and support messages.
Ownership. You keep whatever rights you have in your User Content.
Licence to us. You grant Bitlitic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable (through multiple tiers) licence to use, host, store, reproduce, resize, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute and otherwise make available your User Content, in any media, in connection with operating, providing, improving and promoting Flick and our business. This licence continues after you delete your account or stop using Flick, for content that remains on Flick under these Terms and for feedback we have already used. You waive (or agree not to assert) any moral rights in your User Content to the extent permitted by law.
Your promises. For all User Content you submit, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own it or have all rights, licences and permissions needed to submit it and to grant the licence above; (b) it — and our use of it as permitted here — does not infringe or violate anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights, or any law; and (c) it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
No obligation to use or monitor. Reviews are other users' opinions, not Bitlitic's. We are not obliged to pre-screen, review, keep, display or publish any User Content, and we do not endorse it. We may, but are not required to, remove, edit, refuse or restrict any User Content, at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice. You are solely responsible for your User Content, and you use other users' content at your own risk.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
We may investigate and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement.
To report a review, tap ••• on it in the app and choose a reason; you can also block its author there so you no longer see their reviews. Or email customer-service@bitlitic.com with the movie title and what's wrong. We act on valid reports of objectionable content within 24 hours, which may include removing the content and suspending the account that posted it.
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on Flick infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at customer-service@bitlitic.com (subject “DMCA notice”) that includes:
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We may forward notices and counter-notices to the other party. We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Flick displays and links to content and services provided by others, including movie information and artwork from TheTVDB, reviews written by other users, trailers hosted on sites such as YouTube, IMDb pages, and sign-in by Apple and Google. Metadata provided by TheTVDB. Please consider adding missing information or subscribing at thetvdb.com. Flick is not endorsed or certified by TheTVDB.
Third-party content and services are provided by those third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control, verify or endorse them and are not responsible or liable for their availability, accuracy, legality, content, products or practices, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of them. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.
Subject to these Terms, Bitlitic grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and use the Flick app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. Flick — including its software, design, text, graphics, icons, the “Flick” name and logo, and the selection and arrangement of its content (but excluding User Content and third-party content) — is owned by Bitlitic or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not use our names, logos or trademarks without our prior written permission. Flick includes open-source fonts and software licensed under their own terms, which govern those components.
We may change, add, suspend or discontinue any part of Flick — including features, the movie catalog and third-party integrations — at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We may set limits on use (such as search rate limits). Flick may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, third-party failures or events outside our control. We have no obligation to provide updates, support or maintenance, though we may choose to.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Flick after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you don't agree, stop using Flick and delete your account. Changes to section 17 do not apply to disputes you had already notified us of before the change.
You may stop using Flick at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access, remove your content, or delete your account, at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you've violated these Terms or the law, if required by law, to protect Flick, its users or others, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 3 (last two paragraphs), 6, 8, 9 and 13 through 21, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, survive termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flick and all content, information and services provided through it are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. Bitlitic, its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors and service providers (the “Bitlitic Parties”) expressly disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limitation, the Bitlitic Parties do not warrant that: Flick will meet your requirements or expectations, or be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; any movie information, rating, artwork, description or user content is accurate, complete, current, appropriate or lawful; defects will be corrected; data stored on your device or by us will be preserved; or Flick is free of viruses or other harmful components. No advice or information obtained from us or through Flick creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms. You use Flick at your own discretion and risk.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you; in that case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will the Bitlitic Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data (including PickLists and other on-device data), content, or use, or for the cost of substitute services, or for any damages arising from: your use of or inability to use Flick; any movie you choose, watch or decide not to watch; any content or conduct of any user or third party; unauthorised access to or alteration of your account, transmissions or data; or any errors, inaccuracies, interruptions or security breaches — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), product liability, statute or any other legal theory, and whether or not any Bitlitic Party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of the Bitlitic Parties for all claims arising out of or relating to Flick or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Bitlitic for Flick in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the liability, and (b) fifty US dollars (US $50).
These limitations are an essential part of the bargain between you and Bitlitic, apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose, and allocate risk in a way that allows us to offer Flick for free. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct where such limitation is prohibited.
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to Flick or these Terms must be brought within one (1) year after the claim arises; otherwise it is permanently barred.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Bitlitic Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of Flick; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (d) your violation of any right of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy and publicity rights. We may assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification at your expense, and you'll cooperate with us. You won't settle any such matter without our prior written consent.
You understand that Flick relies on information supplied by third parties and other users, and that movies may contain material you find offensive or inappropriate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risk of your use of Flick and of any movie you choose, and you release the Bitlitic Parties from all claims, known and unknown, arising out of disputes with other users or third parties. If you're a California resident, you waive California Civil Code § 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” You waive any similar law of any other jurisdiction.
Informal resolution first. Before starting any claim, you and Bitlitic agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days after one party sends the other a written notice describing the claim and the relief sought. Send yours to customer-service@bitlitic.com (subject “Dispute notice”), including your name and your account's email address.
Binding individual arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and Bitlitic agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to Flick or these Terms (including their formation, scope, validity or enforceability) will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, except as set out below. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, before a single arbitrator, and may be conducted by video, phone or written submissions. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, but only in favour of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent needed to provide relief warranted by that party's individual claim. Payment of AAA fees will be governed by the AAA's rules, except that if you show that the costs of arbitration would be prohibitive compared with litigation, we will pay as much of the filing and hearing fees as the arbitrator considers necessary to prevent that.
Exceptions. Either party may (a) bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies and stays there, and (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorised access to the Service.
Class action and jury trial waiver. You and Bitlitic each agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, representative or private attorney general proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. You and Bitlitic each waive the right to a trial by jury.
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar demands are filed against Bitlitic by or with the help of the same law firm or organisation, they will be administered in batches of up to 25 under the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules, and the statute of limitations for demands not yet in a batch is tolled.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing customer-service@bitlitic.com with the subject “Arbitration opt-out”, your name and your account's email address, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out doesn't affect any other part of these Terms.
Severability. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (and only that claim) must be severed and brought in court as described in section 18, and stayed pending arbitration of the remaining claims. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or Flick are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Subject to section 17, any claim not subject to arbitration must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you and Bitlitic consent to their personal jurisdiction and venue. If you live outside the United States, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, where those laws apply regardless of the law chosen here.
If you downloaded Flick from Apple's App Store, you and Bitlitic acknowledge that: (a) these Terms are between you and Bitlitic only, not Apple, and Bitlitic, not Apple, is solely responsible for Flick and its content; (b) your licence is limited to using Flick on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that Flick may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing; (c) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Flick; (d) if Flick fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are Bitlitic's responsibility to the extent not disclaimed in these Terms; (e) Bitlitic, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Flick or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Flick fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws; (f) in the event of a third-party claim that Flick or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Bitlitic, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim; (g) you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; (h) you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Flick; and (i) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. Where Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies and conflicts with these Terms on a matter it covers, it governs that matter. Questions, complaints or claims about Flick should be sent to Bitlitic at the contact details in section 22.
If you downloaded Flick from Google Play, you also agree to Google Play's Terms of Service. Google is not responsible for Flick, and Bitlitic, not Google, is responsible for Flick and its support.

Email customer-service@bitlitic.com and a person will read it. We usually reply within a few days. It helps to include your phone model, the app version (Settings → About), and what you tapped just before something went wrong. If it's about your account, write from the email address the account uses.
Open a PickList and tap Play. Two movies face off; flick away the one you'd skip (drag it left or right). The one you keep stays and the next movie comes in. Every flick removes exactly one movie, so a list of N movies always ends after N − 1 flicks with one winner: tonight's pick.
Try the original title or fewer words. Flick's catalog comes from TheTVDB, so a movie missing there won't show up; you can add it at thetvdb.com, or tell us with “Report a bug” on Home.
Tap “Review movies” on Home, find a movie you've seen, give it 1 to 5 stars and add a few words if you like. Your review shows on the movie's page for other Flick users. Tap ••• on anyone's review to report it or block them.
Movie details come from TheTVDB. Email us with the movie title and what's wrong. You can also help fix it at thetvdb.com.
PickLists are stored only on your phone, under the account you were signed in with. Make sure you're signed in to the same account. If the app was deleted or the phone was reset, the lists can't be recovered — we never had a copy.
On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot password?” and we'll email you a reset link. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use that button instead.
Settings → Change email, Change password, or Edit profile.
Email customer-service@bitlitic.com with the movie title and what's wrong. Copyright owners can send a DMCA notice as described in the Terms of Use, section 8.
Settings → Delete account. It's immediate. If you can't reach the app, see delete your account.
That's it. It happens immediately and can't be undone.
Email customer-service@bitlitic.com from the email address on your Flick account with the subject “Delete my Flick account”. We verify that the request came from that address and delete the account within 30 days (usually much sooner), then reply to confirm. We can't act on requests from a different address.
Bug reports or feature ideas you sent. Feedback is kept while we handle it. Email us if you'd like it removed.
Data on other phones. PickLists are stored on each device. On a phone where you didn't press Delete, delete the app to remove them.
Usage analytics already sent to Google Analytics. Deleting your account stops linking events to you and resets the app's analytics identifier; past events expire automatically within 14 months.
Purchase records. If you bought Remove Ads, deleting your account ends it without a refund. We and RevenueCat keep the transaction record for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and Apple or Google keep their own.
Short-lived logs and backups kept by us and our providers, which expire on their normal schedule (see the Privacy Policy).
